John Boddie
John Boddie is a Venture Director at Innosight Ventures, based in India.
John joined Innosight after spending four years with EKMS, a boutique Intellectual property consulting firm in Cambridge MA. While at EKMS, John managed a worldwide pool of engineers as as Research Director, provided legal support services as Director of Licensing, and finally managed day to day project delivery as Vice President of Operations.
John left EKMS to form Boston Patent Research, developing market intelligence reports based on current intellectual property filings.
While working with Innosight in the US, John provided market intelligence and strategy work in the Healthcare, Telecommunications, Military, and Consumer Products sectors, evaluating existing goods & services and modeling white spaces for a variety of clients in support of new product development efforts.
After moving to Singapore and more recently, India, to join the Innosight Ventures team, John has worked actively with engineering, marketing and product development teams in Singapore, Korea, and India to develop and launch viable business plans in areas from consumer durables to automotive, healthcare and telecommunications.
